On November 4th Vote Wisely!

While walking down the street one day a corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven...”

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell...

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator.

"Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil smiles at him and says,

"Yesterday we were campaigning, Today, you voted.."

Vote wisely on Tuesday .....

No Amnesty again!

To my 3 DC reps,

We are enduring what is the equivalent of an invasion on our southern border.  This during a time when we have the lowest labor participation rate since the late 1970s.  Our society cannot afford to allow entry of people that will not add value to our country.  My grandparents (on my father's side) came from Greece in the 1920s.  Looking at Greece today, I understand the opportunity that I have being an American.  Yet we cannot just allow a flood of immigrants to enter our country unchecked.  Amnesty has been granted in the past and the only that it accomplished was to create another situation where we have millions of illegals.  We must force people to only enter our country legally!

What I propose is a combination of procedures that have been adopted by many other countries.
First- we need to switch to right of blood instead of right of soil.  Just because someone is born here (especially if their parents are here illegally) they do not deserve the blessing of US citizenship!
Second- We need a point system in place, much like Canada has.  This point system is based on being able to read and write English.  The amount of education that the person has.  Their age and potential to adapt to our culture.
Third- Also like Canada has, they require that immigrants that do not have a job waiting, must prove that they have enough cash to support themselves and their family for a period of 6 months during that time it is considered that they will be seeking employment.
Fourth- Much like Norway, if anyone is ever caught here illegally, they can never (under any circumstances) be eligible for citizenship or even a visa.
Fifth- Much like any country, they must be healthy and not cause a burden to our healthcare system.

We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.  We cannot reward individuals who break our country's laws with citizenship.

I will not only vote against anyone who votes for amnesty, I will actively campaign against them.  This is my country and I will fight for it.

Thank you,

Mexico and Israel

To My 3 DC reps,

I am very disturbed by the fact that I have not heard any support going for Israel as they attempt to defend themselves during the present crisis.  I expect the Obama/Kerry combo to ignore our greatest friend in the world, but I have not heard any support from the Senate and House of Representatives.  We truly do need to stand up and let the UN and rest of the world know that we love and are 100% behind Israel.  So I respectfully request that you do your part to publicly remind the world that the USA stands with Israel!

Now when it comes to Mexico, I am truly disturbed by the fact that they continue to hold our Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.  Unlike Bowe Bergdahl, Sgt Tahmooressi served with honor, only to be abandoned by the USA in Mexico.  He has been treated in such a way that if he was a POW we would be up in arms!  Mexico needs to surrender our Marine or face severe consequences!  I would support closing the border completely and not allowing any Mexican nationals or freight to cross the border.  I also would support termination of the NAFTA agreement.  I am willing to bet money that if Sgt Tahmooressi accidentally crossed into Canada, the Canadians would have been more than happy to tell him to turn around and go home.  Mexico needs to be reminded that we are the superpower and they cannot treat our people in this way.

Thank you,

Washington Redskins vs US Patent Office

My 3 DC Reps,

I am part Sioux, however it is too small of a percentage for me to vote in tribal elections or gain any benefits.  That does not matter as much as my pride in each of my ethnic groups.  Despite this I do not refer to myself as any Blank-American.  I am an American of this and that heritage.  I say this because we all come from elsewhere, but we are supposed to be Americans first!

What does bother me is the attack on our Constitution.  Freedom of Speech guarantees us the right to say stupid things, but it does not guarantee that we will not be offended.  The pressures that exist in society is more than enough PC BS for our society.  The government getting involved in enforcing PC BS as defacto law is very disturbing.  This seems to be trivial, but the assault on our Constitution cannot be allowed.  The US Patent Office needs to back down, either willingly by being asked by yourself or by being forced through legislation.

Thank You,

Why I changed from blog talk radio to youtube

This is really not  a big issue, but I did want to share some of my reasons with many of the great people that follow and encourage me.

Blogtalkradio sucks!  For $39 a month the value is not there.  Once I attached my twitter account to my blogtalkradio account, I could not log in with my acct name and password, I had to use my twitter account to log in.  I would have errors that cause me to lose my connection, but the BTR website would never inform me of this.  The result I keep talking and you hear dead air.

My biggest problem actually is now that I have canceled my service with them.  Upon canceling I have discovered that I cannot erase my credit card information from the website!  This bothers me to a degree that I cannot begin to complain about.  Just to add insult to this, I wrote to customer service a week ago and as of 30 minutes ago, my credit card info is still attached to the account.  Obviously BTR is more concerned with getting their money than customer safety.

All the above could be worked around however, I could just move to another service.  To be honest I just have not had the time to dedicate to a daily or even weekly show.  Right now I am considering taking on a second or even third job.  There is still the possibility for law school in 2014 or maybe even 2015.  This will require more planning and preparation, which leaves even less time to plan and carry through with an internet radio show.

I must also admit that advantage of using a video (youtube) format are many.
A- I can make a 5-10 minute video almost anyplace and anytime (thanks to smartphones).
B- Youtube is free!  $39 a month may not sound like much, but bills add up.
C- I am not the only person who is busy.  The audience does not have time to sit and listen to an unknown for 2 hours.  To put things in short snippets, despite lack of feedback, enables larger exposure.  With this exposure, hopefully greater thought will be given to various subjects.

So why did I erase all my shows on BTR?  I did not want to lose control of my creations.  I believe that you can only erase shows from your account if you are a paying member.  I do not want someone else to be controlling what I created.  So I downloaded all of my shows, stored them on my computer and on the cloud.  I then deleted them from the BTR account.

I actually have no hard feelings with BTR, they simply provide a format and service.  It could be better, but that is true of any product/service.  I just had to move on...

letter I wrote to my DC reps March 15, 2014

I have to voice my concern over this saber rattling that is going on and promises of aid to the Ukraine.

First I want to point out that I am no hippie, though I also am no NeoCon.  If the USA needs to go to war, I say we go all out and obliterate our enemy.  Yet this should only be done when it is in our national interest.  The Ukraine is NOT in our national interest and they are not in our sphere of influence.  They are not a member of NATO and we have no obligation (under no circumstances, forget humanitarian arguments) to support or get involved in this dispute.

We cannot afford to give away money!  We are $17+ trillion in debt, with another $50+ trillion in unfunded liabilities.  The exact number of our un and under employed can be as high as 20%.  We have more people collecting welfare than at anytime in history.  Then to top it all off, the work participation numbers are the lowest they have been since the late 70s.  Let the EU shell out money and loan guarantees and let them provide military aid.

This Ukrainian government is not so innocent to begin with.  The extended protests in Kiev that led up to this were very shady and personally I refused to take a side.  I work with a German national and even he said both sides are too corrupt to deal with.  So maybe we should STAY OUT!

It is shameful that Obama would use this as an effort to rattle sabers in an effort to unite the American people behind him and his failed policies.  I will not fall for it.  He is not going so far for the people of Venezuela and their struggle is much more just and they are in our sphere of influence.

Want to fix the economy, kill ACA, lower taxes, issue tort reform, kick out illegals, cut back on welfare, and eliminate the most burdensome of regulations.  I use to own a business in the early 90s.  I would never start another one in this environment.  The cost of doing so are just too much of a burden to make it worthwhile.  If I was an engineer and created something, I would have it built overseas.  The cost of production in the USA is too high to be competitive on the world market.  This is the reality of our economic situation, I am sorry if you do not see it in DC.

Sincerely,

Dear Reince (letter I wrote to the GOP when I renewed my membership)

Dear Reince & Company,
I am renewing my membership for 2014 after much soul searching.  However I am only sending the minimum, $30.  My concern is the direction that the party is heading in.  I am seeing two GOPs develop, the people who make up the majority of the party and those in DC that run the party.  This internal conflict is causing the DC elites to attack its own base instead of the democrats.  If you guys in DC were as aggressive with the democrats as you are with the Tea Party, the GOP would be one big happy family!

How can I, in good conscience support my party when it spends more time and effort attacking a faction of itself rather than the opposing party?  The answer is obvious, I cannot.  I have decided to remain a member in good standing.  My reason is not because I trust you, because I do not.  As an American, I will continue to hold not only liberals accountable for their actions, but also all of the DC elites in the GOP.  I will decide what candidates I support and send money to them myself, no matter if I can vote for them or not.  I also will not blindly vote for anyone, just because there is an R by their name.  If I do not have enough faith in a candidate with an R by their name, I will vote write in or third party.  You can tell me the lie that I will only be voting for the DNC if I do so, but I do not buy that lie.  If I wanted to be in a party that resembled the democratic party light, I would become a democrat conservative.  So I will not empower a Republican party that has shades of blue.

Let’s start with NO AMNESTY and nothing that resembles amnesty.  People that are here illegally are criminals and get treated as such.  If that creates problems in the job market, well guess what.  We have plenty of uneducated masses here; we do not need millions more!  Start serious welfare cuts, then states can either pick up the slack or let the cuts go through.  This will force people to choose if they want to eat or not.  We cannot continue to support a large and unproductive percentage of the population.  People must do for themselves.  Please do not tell me or fall for the liberal lie, “these people need help, they cannot help themselves.”  With all due respect, I am a junior high dropout; the last grade I finished was 8th.  I now have a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I worked full time and attended college (full time to half time depending on semester) for 6 years to accomplish this.

Real immigration reform is needed, I realize this.  We can start by putting more strict requirements on someone to be classified a refugee.  When a married woman from Mexico (or any country) can say her husband abused her and then get protection is outrageous!  We could use a point system similar to what Canada has, along with their monetary or job requirements.  We can add a penalty similar to Norway.  If someone is caught illegally in Norway a single time, they can never, under any circumstances ever become a citizen of Norway.  We can switch from right of soil to right of blood.  If you have one parent who is a citizen, you must apply for US citizenship at 18 (expedited case, with no waiting period afterwards), if both parents are citizens at time of birth, you are a naturalized American citizen, no matter where you are born.  If both of your parents are not citizens and you happen to be born here, you are not a citizen, you were just born here.  We MUST secure our border!  Every nation on this planet has the right to a secure border (except for the USA apparently).

We need to limit Federal power and push back against judicial activism.  Gay marriage and abortion- leave both up to the states to decide.  If someone does not like the laws in their state, they are free to move.  That is a check and balance.  If the state would lose too many citizens that are valuable to their economy, they would be forced to change their laws.  This is how our system was designed to work.  Empower the states, instead of taking away their power.  If a state law has no affect upon any other state, then the Fed has no business getting involved, end of story 10th Amendment.

The Federal budget is out of control!  The Federal government has taken on so many responsibilities that it was never designed to do.  Now I realize many of these changes are needed in the modern era.  Still we cannot continue to spend so much money as our debt surpasses 100% of our GDP.  We no longer need a balanced budget; we need a surplus, so we can pay down this debt.   Simple solution to budget and fat Federal government, the Fed budget must be at least 50% to support, supply and pay for active duty military personal.  This would be a great Constitutional Amendment to keep DC on a diet and keep us in line with the intentions of the Constitution.  The military serves the common good, welfare does not.  Let charities do their job, instead of competing against the government.  Charities want to see their need end and for them to be out of a job.  Bureaucrats have no vested interest in ending their careers.

Stand up to Obama!  He is violating his oath of office by refusing to enforce the laws of the land.  There are many questions when it comes to IRS, Solyndra, Holder perjuries, NSA, Benghazi, AP wire tapping, Fast and Furious, Sebelius (pressuring for donations and questions about violating Hatch), the healthcare.gov website contract, etc... So many scandals that I cannot even keep up with them all!   We must hold this entire administration accountable for its actions!   Use the power of the committees to find the answers and stand up to Obama.  If he will not back down and obey the Constitution.  Well then even though we cannot obviously impeach him, since the DNC is sticking together to try to hold onto power.  You can then take all the committee findings to the American people, especially the most damning ones.  We will see how the American people react when the golden boy is suddenly tarnished.  Yes I know I am not showing any respect to the President, but not since Wilson has there been such an orchestrated attack on the Constitution.  Wilson at least had the grace to do it under the pretense of being needed to win the First World War (like Americans need an excuse to go kick some ass).

Sir, the divide between left and right is growing so large that I am not even sure if it can be bridged.  I am sure of one thing though, my back is against the wall.  The only way we can give the left anymore of what they want is by burning our Constitution.  If there is not a backlash in DC, led by the GOP the backlash will happen in the states.  All it will take is one state to decide on secession and I believe many states will begin to fall like dominos.  I will support any action that will preserve the Constitution in 1 to all 50 states, but never the liberal interpretation of our Constitution.

Yes I am angry and you may even be correct if you say I am irrational.  Yet was it truly rational when our Founding Fathers decided to fight the most power country on the planet for their independence?  We are not facing basic human rights issues that Lincoln faced (though state’s rights were also a sticking point).  This time we are talking about the most basic ideals that this nation was founded upon.  Are we going to stick with them or abandon them?  Is the GOP going to fight for what it supposedly stands for or will it choose to attack its own members in an effort to keep them in line?  The backbone of America is not the 47% that do not pay taxes; it is not the 53% that do pay taxes.  It is not even the top 10%, top 1% or the businesses that have grown into mega corporations thanks to our business friendly environment.  The backbone of American is the ideals that are found within the US Constitution, without that we have no spine.  I hope the GOP finds its spine.

Sincerely,

short e-mail I sent to Coca Cola

I am extremely offended by your Superbowl commercial!  Diet Coke is one of my addictions that I thought I could never do without and now I will seek an alternative.  This advertisement is nothing but Politically Correct garbage!  If you are going to cater to a particular social segment of society then you have to expect a backlash from the other segments.  It is obvious that you have no idea what pride is in the USA.

Yes the USA is the melting pot, but from this advertisement it is obvious that you do not understand the concept.  The USA is a land of immigrants.  These immigrants adapt to the USA culture and add to the mix by being who they are.  Your ad promotes hundreds of separate USAs.  This is the problem with the liberal left.  I am honestly ashamed of the 48-72 cans of Diet Coke I have drank for the past two decades.

Thanks for nothing!

Copy of email I sent to my DC reps #NoAmnesty

Senator Stinker,

As one of your constituents I am voicing my opinion on the immigration reform bill.  No Amnesty, no partial recognition, no nothing for the law breakers!  These people have disrespected our laws and we are going to grant them a legal status because the President will not fulfill his duty and enforce the laws of the land?  I am sorry, but NO!  To give the illegals any status is the same as a criminal getting caught with a stolen flat screen television by the police and instead of arresting them, the officer gives them a Blu-ray player and cable box.  How can we expect anyone to respect our laws if we do not set a firm example?

These illegals are mostly uneducated, not even having the most basic high school education.  This massive influx of unskilled labor will only flood the market with individuals that will not help our economy.  This will create a downward pressure on wages at a time when the labor participation rate is the lowest it has been since the Carter years.  We need real immigration reform.  We need a point system like Canada.  If you do not have enough points and money to support yourself and family while searching for a job, you cannot get a visa.  If someone does not have enough points, but they have a job skill that is in a category that is needed in the USA, they must have a job lined up in advance to just get a work visa.  This must be a job that has not been filled by potential American labor.  The free market can work, if we allow it to.  If jobs are not being filled because they are not paying enough, then instead of flooding the market with cheap labor, those employers need to increase their wages to fill those positions.  We are talking about unskilled labor, not chemists and engineers.

With a Canadian type point system, we can reward the educated and those who can already read and write English.  We can reward the younger people who have finished school, but cannot find work in their present country.  We can reward families, when both parents are educated.  The point system has worked well for Canada and we can develop one that works well for the USA.

Real immigration reform would involve a one strike and you are out law like Norway has.  In Norway if you are ever caught there illegally just a single time, you are never allowed within their borders again and you have no chance to gain a visa or citizenship for any reason.

We also need to abandon right of soil and switch to right of blood.  Yet we must make it even more difficult than other blood countries do, to discourage anchor babies.  If one parent is a citizen then the child must apply for citizenship at 18 like anyone else would (with credit being given for time raised in the USA).  If both parents are citizens, then no matter where the child is born, they are a naturalized citizen.

Before anyone can take the oath of citizenship, they need to understand English at a conversational level.  They also need to understand our country's history and the Constitution at a high school level.  If this is not accomplished, they do get the honor of American citizenship.  We also need to discourage pacifist from becoming citizens, if they are not willing to fight for this country, then they should not be allowed to take the oath of citizenship.

I realize that these are extreme steps, but with 5 million to 25 million illegals in the USA, we need to take extreme measures!  We are 17 Trillion in debt and we cannot afford the burden of people that will never be able to give more to our society than they take.

Thank you,
Room 101 (not going to post my name :P)
