A Plea for Unity

I am not the best person to try to keep people united.  You see I am a radical at heart (don’t worry right wing).  I am more than willing to pick up firearms to make things better.  I have this one minor fault though, I am also rational.  So even though nothing would make me happier than to be an instrument of liberal genocide, I know that will never happen.  I fear that some people on the right do not have that filter in their thinking.  Some people are so blinded with anger that they want to go straight to violence and they see enemies everywhere.  One person who claims to be a conservative spends more time attacking Karl Rove than attacking the whole liberal establishment.  Now I disagree with a good portion of what Karl Rove says, but he is not the enemy!  Another person that I just had a confrontation with on twitter told me to iron my shirt.  Why? Because I pointed out that liberals are the greatest threat that the USA faces right now.  It is not Islam or Republicans.  I fear that people have become so polarized that they are accepting no view point but their own as dogma.  I cannot blame many of you.  We all have a particular issue that is close to our heart which we will not bend on.  For me that issue is the Second Amendment.  It is in the Constitution and I will not allow the left to touch it.  Being the product of a liberal utopia, life means little to me, so abortion is not high on my list of concerns.  I still support my party’s position completely and even if I could change that position, I would not.  Why? Well for one it would alienate too many people and even if I could change their mind.  I respect them too much to try to make them waver in their convictions.

What is going on is not just fighting between factions during a primary or even an effort to change party leadership.  It is not even an effort to influence elected leaders.  Those would make perfect sense for what I am seeing.  We on the right are divided against each other.  This division we are in the middle of is why the liberals have been able to push so much garbage through Congress.  After the 2010 midterms we were able to put a hurting on Obama, not stop him, but hurt him.  Then the liberal media blitz targeted the Tea Party, in an effort to belittle them and turn them into something they are not: racists, violent and anti-American.  It is my theory that these constant attacks by the liberal media began to wear down our patience and when we lost in 2012 we started looking for scapegoats.  Since we are so convinced that we are in the majority it could not be anything other than betrayal by the GOP.  Well I hate to tell you this, but we are not the majority.  The good news is that neither are liberals.  For either side to claim victory we must attract independents to our side.  This we succeeded in 2010, but not in 2012.  After the 2012 loss we attacked out at everything and everyone.  Let me be clear, we did not lose.  Mitt Romney lost the election, not conservatives.  Why did Mitt lose?  Well that would be a blog in itself.  If we are to win the 2014 midterms and the 2016 elections, we must have unity!  To turn back the liberal tide, we must have unity!  This unity may require that we force a change in the GOP leadership.  It will require that we get a candidate that is willing to play hardball with liberals on all fronts.  When a conservative runs for President, they are running not only against the liberal choice, but also against the liberal dominated media.  This is a simple fact that we have to face and to succeed we need a son of a bitch that will go head on against the enemies of our nation.  This person needs our complete support.  As Andrew Breitbart said, “the GOP cannot hope to win if they play defensive all the time.”  Any good general will tell you, the best defense is a great offense.  Will we gain enough independent support to override liberal voter fraud?   That I cannot honestly answer, but I can promise you that we all will end up living in the United States of Detroit if we do not stand together against the menace from within.

To all my conservative brothers and sisters, I beg you stand as one united group.  The only thing that holds the liberals together is the desire for free stuff and hatred of hard work.  If we can gain super majorities in both houses and the presidency, we can make enough good changes to turn this country around and stem the liberal tide for generations.  Do it for your children and grandchildren, or even the children you have yet to have.  We cannot allow those who are so conceited that they believe they know how to create a utopia to ruin our great nation!

Taxes and eliminating the IRS

Let’s talk about taxes baby...
Let’s talk about what we pay...
Okay, Salt-n-Pepa I’m not, but you try to come up with an intro for taxes.  I guess I could just write about the situation and the problems with the solution proposed by many.  The problem is obvious today; the Internal Revenue Service has grown too big and powerful for its own good.  The IRS strikes fear into Americans like no other government agency.  The Federal Bureau of Investigations could knock on your door and your pulse would go higher if it was an IRS agent.  This power is being abused by the present administration (and past administrations) as a political tool in their arsenal to attack opponents.  If you are against the party in power, you have to fear the IRS.  The IRS has become so conceited in its own power that they ask what books you read and the content of your prayers!  This is a slap in the face to the US Constitution and the Founding Fathers!  In 2014 the IRS will be in charge of making sure that the Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare) is being complied with by business and citizens of this country.  It is bad enough that the government is instituting regulations upon a section of the economy to such a degree of control that it makes the entire industry a part of the government by proxy.  The additional power that this gives the IRS puts them on par with the combined branches of the military, but who does the IRS protect us from?  Ask the average American and the only protection they want is from the IRS!

Dissolve the IRS has become the battle cry!  The problem is of course that the Federal Government actually does some good and they need money to operate.  So how do we accomplish this feat?  I have heard talk about a fair tax, that a citizen would only need to fill out something the size of a postcard and send in.  This sounds a little too good to be true and I am willing to bet will become a system that is easy to abuse by those who will not pay their “fair tax” share.  I have even heard people say that all we need is tariffs to support the Federal Government.  The only problem with that is that many of those same people are the ones that jump up and down about fair trade.  Fair trade by definition is one that is free of tariffs.  This creates a conflict of ideology, you cannot have both.

Which brings us to Herman Cain’s 999 plan; now I must admit that when I first heard it, I did not like it.  I just knew that if we had a Federal sales tax, when you combined it with state and in some cases city sales taxes, it would kill the economy.  I have thought about it for a year now and the plan has grown on me as I weighed the pros and cons.  First off, everyone would have more money in their pockets without Federal withholding.  The question becomes would the increased sales tax stop people from making purchases?  My conclusion is that it does not matter.  It does not matter because if people do not make purchases they still have to do something with the money.  If they choose to put it into savings or investment it, they will still be helping the economy.  I also believe there is a segment of the population who will always be consumers and spend all of their money, no matter what the sales tax rate is.

There are a few things that are needed to make sure that the system is fair.  First off no cap for luxury goods, many states have limits on how much you have to pay in sales tax.  For instance, if you buy a car they will put a cap on how much you pay for a purchase (or maybe my information is just a decade old).  So if someone were to buy a $50k car, but the limit maxed out at $20k, they will pay the same taxes as someone that buys the cheaper car.  That is simple enough and I am sure few people would have a problem with it.  Now for the more controversial aspects; first there will be no tax exempt status for any organization.  Without a small army to do investigations I say just keep it simple and eliminate tax exempt status.  I do not care if you are a charity, a religion or a political organization.  If you make the purchase, you pay like everyone else.  When you start exempting different organizations it will become like a drug and every special interest group will try to gain that status for itself.  Yes it will hurt some organizations, but their donors should have more money to give.  Normal people will no longer be able to take tax breaks for donations, so why add complexity by giving such status to any organization.  Next any sale will be taxed.  This sale can be business to business or business to consumer, even business to government.  There will be no loopholes to allow businesses to get out of this.  If you buy and import goods from overseas, as soon as they cross the border the tax must be paid.  Yes that will work similar to a tariff, but if you bought the goods within the USA it would bring about the same result.  There is a way for companies to get around this.  They would have to build their products from start to finish keeping cost down, rather than spreading subcontracts around.  Companies contract over pennies per piece all the time, because not only can someone else make the product cheaper, but they can use their resources on more profitable endeavors.  This will step onto the toes of middlemen.  Some middlemen are honest businessmen, but there are others who use their power in similar ways as the IRS.  This will help to shorten the steps between manufacture and final sale, but this process is already taking place in business.  There is one more process that should be mentioned/taxed.  When money is sent outside of this country, it should be taxed.  You made it and you were not taxed (consumer or business), but before you send it overseas, we are going to tax you for sending our money elsewhere.

Even with all of this we still cannot completely get rid of the IRS.  You have to have agents investigate these organizations to make sure that they are properly paying the taxes.  Even Texas has these agents that do such investigations.  I know this for a fact; my cousin is in Dallas, has his own business and was audited.  No exemption from taxes does mean less need for agents though, because they will be concentrating on a single specialized purpose and not spread out over many different responsibilities.

Still there is one tax that needs to be kept in place.  The reason for this is the problem that is created without it.  What is the purpose of the stock exchange?  Basically it is to provide capital to companies to they can expand or improve their product/service.  When you own stock, you own a part of that company.  It is in your best interest that the company has long term profitability.  The problem is that the stock market too often resembles a Las Vegas craps table.  Throw in the fact that board members and upper management will cannibalize a company (or mutual fund) for a short term gain.  This could be in the form of their bonus or stock options (which are basically the same thing).  So we keep the capital gains tax, but we have to remember that our goal is to eliminate income tax and capital gains is a form of income.  By the same token we want to encourage the stock market to fulfill its actual purpose, one of long term investment.  The solution is a dropping tax rate depending upon how long you have the stock.  For instance, if you sell it the first year you own it you pay 75% tax on your profit.  I know, that sounds insane!  Well it is and that is the point!  However each year you own the tax your liability drops 15% to 60%, then 45%, etc, until you owe no tax on your sale. For stock options the term is longer, because these people actually control the direction and future of the organization.  If you sell the stock in the first year 100% of your profit is taxed and that drops 10% per year until you owe no taxes on the sale.  Once again with no exceptions for any organization, no matter what they are.  It could be a pension, a trust fund, a charity or religious organization.  There is no need to give unfair trading advantage to any such organization, since they already control billions of dollars in the market.  This will encourage our investment markets to think years down the road, instead of worrying about the next quarter.

From the length of this, you can tell I have been playing with the idea in my mind for a while now.  I do not claim this is the perfect solution or that my limited knowledge gives me the right to make any such claim.  All I am saying is that it is an idea which maybe someone with greater knowledge can take and run with.  Fixing my errors along the way and adapting it in a way that it can work.  That is if this seed is a good one and can grow into something beautiful.  I also realize this maybe the most controversial thing I have ever written.  If you believe I am wrong and foolish, then I ask you this.  Is your body of knowledge of the subject so great that you can come up with the start of a solution on your own?  Or are you merely accepting at face value what others promise you?  To accept something like that in such a way without questioning it or gaining greater knowledge, is that not just like drinking the kool aid we accuse liberals of doing?  We live in a marvelous society and it is even more complex.  There are many variables that must be taken into account and many problems that need to be fixed.  Play with the problems in your head, maybe you are the person that can come up with the perfect solution.  However you never waste any time or effort by exercising your mind!

Lets go nuclear to protect 2A

Everyone knows about what is going on as the liberals try to destroy the Second Amendment to the Constitution.  Oh they may say that they do not want to come after anyone’s guns, only assault weapons.  Yet I do not see them standing outside military bases and police stations, since only the military and law enforcement have legal access to real assault weapons.  The Democrats are ignoring Gallup polls that state Americans believe the problem is mental illness and not firearms.  Yet the media keeps claiming less guns will make us safer and the liberals continue on this path of disarming the law -biding citizen.   Well I believe I may have came up with an idea that will so threaten the power structure that not only will it force them to back off (at least when it comes to Federal laws), but it will help to avoid bloodshed (only if successful).

Now we know that many state and local elected officials are much more friendly and concerned about the Second Amendment than nationally elected officials.  What I propose is to force a Constitutional Crisis on this administration.  We, as patriots, need to make this idea go viral.  Then as many people as possible will be pressuring their state and local elected officials to make a law.  What law will they be making?  A law that says said jurisdiction does not recognize the right of the Federal government to override the Constitution (especially pertaining to the Second Amendment).  So this local law will supersede illegal Federal regulation.  The more areas that actually do this, the greater the problem it will cause for DC.

I got this idea because IL and NY are rushing to increase gun laws, yet I have not heard of anyplace saying we will ignore anything that violates the Constitution, even if it comes out of the White House.   I know any first year law student will tell me that these arguments have already been solved in court.  When the parties submit to rule of law, they are satisfied.  What happens when someone say they do not care about past rule of law and the threat of future laws is illegal?  The more locations that do this, the greater the threat is to the stability and authority of the Federal Government.

Think about it, improve upon the idea and then contact state, county and city officials.  Lets get some of these laws passed.  If this operation is successful, I see a number of potential outcomes.  A- the Fed backs down.  B- every side continues to bang heads, no one gives an inch and the Republic tears itself apart.  C- open warfare starts between the Fed and liberal contingents vs conservative and military units.  This would not be very pretty and would lead to a liberal genocide on a national scale.  Which I do not have a problem with to be honest. D- is not an option, the Fed wins and starts their process of disarming all Americans.  E- is equally unlikely, DNC and GOP reach a compromise.  Yeah right, compromise with a Lib is such an illusion,

My reasoning for this is simple.  I am willing to protect the Constitution by any and every means necessary!  No matter how great of a tragedy Sandy Hook is, the lives of 30 children do not justify touching a document that has been around for 221 years!

There was more I wanted to add, but I am sorry it is past my bedtime.  If I remember this later I will edit it and add what I forgot.

Papa John's Boycott? WTF?

You will have to forgive me if this is much shorter than other things I write, I have some serious homework waiting for me.  When I have to choose between my grad school work and making strangers happy, sorry but you are going to lose every time.

Well anyways liberals are going bat shit crazy; at least on Huffington post from the links I have been given.  Now why are they throwing temper tantrums now?  Well because the CEO of Papa John’s announced that he was going to be cutting back hours in his stores to 28 to avoid Obamacare.  Now before I explain why it is not only silly but destructive for liberals to get their panties in a wad, I had better give a basic lesson in business.

Please trust me on this information, I am halfway through my MBA and I still have a 4.0, for now at least.  An organization is in business to make money.  They must make a profit to stay in business and to keep investors happy.  Liberals may not care about Wall Street but that is at their peril if they do not respect and understand the forces at work.  Wall Street is not just the rich; it is pension funds and 401k mutual funds that are playing with your money.  The money you have saved for your retirement.  You apply the same sort of pressure on Wall Street when you pick the investment strategy you expect to achieve.  So you are also an investor, not just the 1% that you love to quote so often.  Now if investors are not happy with an organization they have two options, overthrow the board (which takes a lot of effort) or just sell the stock.  Most investors will just sell a stock when they are not happy with the results or the way the organization is being run.  If enough investors abandon the stock, it becomes undervalued.

Now when a stock is undervalued the organization can become a target for a leveraged buyout.  A leveraged buyout basically uses the collateral of a company to borrow enough money to do a hostile takeover of the organization.  They will restructure it, making it much more profitable and then refloat it on the stock market, making a nice profit in the process.  The people/organizations that do this are considered corporate raiders.  They serve a purpose to keep boards responsible to investors and prevent incompetence within an organization.  Yet when corporate raiders take over a company that is when you see the real nightmare stories of people getting screwed over.  These people have no intention of keeping the organization.  They only want to make it look like a good investment so they can flip their investment quickly.  Much the same as many of you were flipping houses as the real estate market was climbing and climbing.  I hope you understand why it is important to make a profit and keep investors happy.

Now why is it self-destructive for liberals to have their panties in a wad?  Well for one thing they are persecuting the CEO for saying what many such organizations will be doing.  Maybe he spoke up to calm the fears of investors over costs associated with Obamacare.  Maybe he was trying to let everyone know that this is not a good thing, but he knew he would get no attention if he sat down and gave an interview as to why.  I cannot think of a single liberal that is intelligent to understand that logic, so I will try a different approach.  First thing you are doing is hurting the people at the bottom of the food chain by starting your boycott.  The people that work at a pizzeria are not career delivery drivers, or pizza makers.  If they are doing it full time they are doing whatever it takes to just make ends meet.  By boycotting Papa John’s you are putting many people’s jobs investments and businesses at risk.  You are putting the college student that works less than 20 hours just to cover some living expenses while they go to school at risk.  You are also putting many franchise operations at risk.

You see not every single Papa John’s store is a corporate store.  There will be large (or even very large) percentages that are franchise stores.  Depending on how the organization is set up distribution may even be franchised out in some areas.  These are people that invested their money (from tens of thousands to a few million for distribution) to use and sell under the Papa John’s logo.  The franchise store owner that only owns one or two stores does not have enough employees to worry about the 50 person requirement of Obamacare.  Yet you will be boycotting them as well.  You also have to realize that the majority of employees that work in fast food are not full time.  Managers of such operations are full time and they are most likely already getting insurance, their status will not change.  Yet you are putting their future at risk with your boycott.

You also have to realize that Papa John’s is not just the store you see.  That store you see may have 20 to 30 employees, with only 5 to 7 getting more than 30 hours a week.  Two would be managers and 5 just trying to survive as best they can.  There is also the entire organization that supports the store.  You have a distribution and production chain that are already working full time and those people already have benefits like store managers.  The truck drivers that make deliveries to stores, they also work full time and get benefits.  Regional directors that make less than 100k a year are another group of people that your boycott is targeting.  Corporate headquarters, these people already have benefits, they are professionals.  There are accountants, media experts, MBAs that plan the present and future for the company; all of these people area already full time and getting benefits.  We also cannot forget about all the different organizations that fill orders for Papa John’s, pizza boxes are not made in house.  Everyone will suffer from lower sales.  How many of these people voted for your precious president?  You are going to stab all of them in the back?

Oh please do it!  I mean that.  Make complete idiots of yourselves.  Force the economy into rapid self-destruction!  My job is secure, my education is my goal, and my country is my religion.  If you fools utterly trash the economy completely to hell, it will only make it easier to achieve what I believe is the right path for the USA.  The only people you will be hurting are those who are already struggling to make ends meet.  You will not hurt me and you will not hurt the CEO of Papa John’s.  Even if you force it into bankruptcy, I really doubt he will go hungry or have to sell his home.  What do you think the result will be for those who are relying on this income during tough economic times?  They will be pushed away from the liberalism you preach, since you are preaching them out of a job!  They will come to my side and they may even learn a few things about how the economy works and become a success in life.  So I wish you all the best in your boycott and all its collective foolishness!
